Scholarship Program

Our scholarships for our Spanish Programs can only be granted on an Academic Excellence basis and are only available for those students who comply with the requirements in due time. 

In order to apply for a scholarship it is necessary to follow the steps of the process described below.

Application Process

1) Getting the Information on how the Scholarhips work
The candidate must be fully informed in regards to how scholarships are granted, under which conditions and what kind of documents are required to apply.

2) Applying for the Scholarship
Each candidate Hill fill out the application form and gather all necessary information and references to be enclosed with the application form. Everything must be submitted as described and before the dates for applications expire. There will be no exceptions on this matter.

3) Review of Application Forms and information submitted by applicants
The IFDC Lenguas Vivas Director Board will analyse all application forms, information, reference letters, resumes submitted by applicants and check references. Immediately alter that scholarships are granted to the candidates that best qualify for them. 

4) Confirmation
The applicant receives communication via e-mail, phone call or fax confirming that the scholarship has been granted by IFDC Lenguas Vivas and he/she is admitted in the program chosen.

The Sholarships

Scholarships granted by IFDC Lenguas Vivas for the Spanish as a Foreign Language Programs (Immersion or Distance Education) are reserved for those students who can show actual proof of academic excellence in their performance in any of the following education stages: 

- Secondary School / High School
- Terciary Level / Collage Education
- University (graduate and/or undergraduate)

Scholarships granted only cover academic expenses in each program:

- Tuition Fee (in any of the programs offered)
- Class materials
- Assessment and Certificates

The following will be on the part of the student:

- Enrollment Fee 
- Internacional Air fare
- Tourist Pack (*)
- Recreation and Cultural Activities (optional)

(*) In the case of Immersion Programs, the tourist pack can be that offered by IFDC Lenguas Vivas through our local tour operator (Dannemann /Lufthansa City Center) or any other offered by another local or foreign operator.

Scholarships through Third Parties

These kinds of scholarships will be arranged with the Institution granting it.

Eligible Candidates

In order to be eligible for the Scholarship Program applicants should:

• Be 18 years old or older.
• Submit forms and documents required in due time
• Have completed at least one of the following Course of Studies: secondary / High School, Terciary / College Education, o University Studies, graduate or undergraduate programs)
• Be able to show actual proof of outstanding academic performance in the above mentioned course of studies.
• Have verifiable references 

Administrative Requirements

In order to apply for a Scholarship applicants should:

- Submit documents at least 45 days prior to course commencement.
- Have an e-mail account and phone number or fax where he/she can be reached for consultations or phone interviews.

Documents Required

• Scholarship Application Form (Applying for a scholarship implies the applicant has accepted the terms and conditions)
• Letter written in English by the applicant addressed to the Director of IFDC Lenguas Vivas.
• ID or Passport (scanner file of personal information page only)
• Resume including personal information, qualifications, work/professional experience, references.
• Academic Document (scanned degree, certificate) with course grades.
• A recommendation letter by a Director of Studies or Head of School with an e-mail where he/she can be reached for further information.
